Vielsalm - Ardennes

I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was.” ~ Ransom Riggs

A week ago I went to the Ardennes. It was a prefect break to calm myself and offer me some rest. Me and my family walked and enjoyed the nature. Swam because we stayed at Sunparks and that about sums it up. Nothing better then fresh air in the woods and a good walk or swim. What I especially adored about our little house, was that there was a fireplace. I adore the sound of the crackling wood and the flames. I somehow always want a fireplace when I go to the Ardennes. Here are some pictures I picked out to show to you.

Sometimes you just need to go through a door.”

Give Me Love

'I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, goodnight and joy be with you all'
.

Who doesn't get happy of good weather! I really love the sun! I've read that it is a natural antidepressant. A good excuse to spend your time in the sun. I would love to live in the south of France or Spain. The sun, the blue sea, it must be amazing. Me and my sister are planning to make a trip to a warm country where we can totally relax. If you have any advise, shoot!
I wish you a lot off sun and happiness mad readers!
I'm wearing a white laced dress and bohemian vest from Zara. I wear this outfit a lot for festivals, but today I decided to wear it on a normal day. Hope you like it.

This Is My Fight Song

'It's a better place since you came along' - Rachel Platten

It's nice how an ordinary picture can create something weird, yet interesting. I love how the normality of a subject can change your feeling. Just like this picture. It's a pedestrian crossing. That's it, but when I took this picture it was more for me than just a pedestrian crossing.
This picture presents adventure for me. A new start, a new path or direction you can go to. Letting go of the past and looking forward to the future. Living today. Some of the stripes are so clear and white that it is almost a blank page you can fill in with your ideas. You can make your future!
Lately I've been thinking a lot. We're al just peoples with our dreams. We want it to come true. But after all, is that what we really want? Is that what our hearts desire?
I just want to be happy. Live from day to day. Breath the fresh air each morning when I go working. Closing my eyes and think 'this is gonna be another wonderful day'.

Dream on! Dream until your dreams come true!

The sun is alone too, but it still shines!

"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be."

Last weekend, my sister and I spend the weekend together. It was just one of those weekends we end up doing nothing but spending time talking, watching series we really like and eat way to much unhealthy food. These times are the times I look forward to when I had a long day at work.

These pictures are taken at a park. The sun fell behind the horizon, painting the sky shades of red and pink. Both of us fell in love with how the sunrays touched this field and we just had to take a few pictures here. We were dressed casually for a foodtruck festival which was, unfortunatly, a little overpriced, so we ended eating elsewhere. X"D

The road to success is always under construction

“Some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost.” ~ Erol Ozan

A few days ago we went to visit a cultural food market in Turnhout. It's a international market where people sell products from there country. It was a lot of fun to walk though the different stands. We visited a Italian foodstand because we though it was so adorable and we just love Italian food. They were selling bread with olives and tomatoes. It's just perfect as snack! We both also bought a bottle Prosecco for our father.

For that day I was wearing a lovely skirt from Romwe. The blossoms on them are prefect for spring. It's so whimsical and I regret I don't were this skirt more often. As top I'm wearing a shirt from Zara. it was only 15 euros and I just love grey lately. That makes it a prefect bargain in my opinion. The shoes are from Asos. They are easily my favorite sandals to wear at the moment.
Do you like international markets as well?

You don't drawn by falling in the water

"There comes a time when you have to chose between turning the page and closing the book"
.

Hallo dear maddies, lately I've been thinking al lot about letting things go. The past is a haunting me and it is time accept and get on with my life. Sometimes I wish I finished my study in painting, but I can't change it. I don't want to have those flashbacks anymore. I have to close the book and start writing a new one. I want to do a lot of things now to clear my mind. I want to see my friends more often, start to get biking and walking. Traveling to a wonderful, peaceful place where I can give my head the time to work things out. Thinking of nothing and enjoying the landscape! The pictures you see are from the county 'Corsica'. It has a wonderful route the 'Gr20'. It was an amazing experience! My next goal is to walk trough the Pyrenees, but a good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intend on arriving!
Do you have troubles of letting things go?
